In this piece of writing you can come across answers to some of the questions you have regarding your Cuba holidays. Along many years I have been given suggestion to customers wanting to visit Cuba so I decided to recap some of them. I hope you find them helpful.
The best museums in Havana are The Museum of the Revolution (former Presidential Palace), The Capitolio (former seat of The Chamber of Representatives and Senate), The Museum of The City (Government Palace and Town Hall in the colonial times) and the museum of Belle Arts.
In case you do get sick visit the doctor who is normally based in a room in your same hotel or in another one close by. Ask the concierge of your hotel where and how to find a doctor.
If you are on a budget a good way to move around the island is by bus. There is only one company that offer this service and is called VIAZUL. Their fleet of coaches is in very good conditions and they connect each and every province in Cuba.
The best bars in Havana are El Floridita, El Patio, La Bodeguita del Medio, La Mina, La Dichosa, La Lluvia de Oro. All this bars with the exception of El Floridita are outdoors and they all are a perfect venue for soaking up the atmosphere of Havana.
If you are thinking of buying cigars get them from a government shop their quality is supreme but they are a bit expensive. Prices are from 100.00 CUC to 400.00 CUC for a box of 25 cigars. If you buy them in the black market you can find the same boxes fro 25.00 CUC to 100 CUC but most of them are cigars rejected by the quality control of the factories.
If you want to book a sight seeing trip around Havana the best tour guides are employed by San Cristobal Company. These tours can be organized collective or privately. You can even have a horse and carriage ride along the old streets of Havana Vieja (Old Town).
Try to book your self in one of the city tours that are offered in the lobby of almost every hotel in Cuba. These tours are very economic and convenient to do in your first day on each location in Cuba. They are normally guided by experienced tour guides and comprise both walking and driving around. Price is from 15.00 CUC per person.
The best Cuban rum is Habana Club and there is no point in trying to safe some money buying from the black market as the bottles are very cheap on the government run stores. Prices are from 4.00 CUC to 10.00 CUC per bottle.

At this point you might have already decided that Cuba is the place that you want to visit for your next long hold destination but perhaps need some guidance on the actual booking process. This might seem a little bit trivial but it is without doubt not the case trying to arrange Cuba Tours .
The truth is that this Caribbean island is becoming ever more popular every year and this creates a problem for some travel organizers. Cuba is definitely not a last minute destination , in particular if you are travelling in the high season.
The busiest seasons in Cuba falls within the months of July and August, the Easter period, Christmas and New year’s eve . November, December, January, February and March are extremely well-liked months particularly for travellers from Europe looking for the Tropic to avoid few days of depressing weather.
Quite often I get customers asking me to sort out a package holiday for them in the above mentioned months , but sometimes the enquiry comes too late . This is frustrating, equally for the customer and myself . For one simple thing , I just can not recommend holiday worth it because all the popular resorts and best hotels are completely booked, and then I am left with the only honest response I can give. “I am really sorry but at this point there is nothing available that I feel comfortable recommending ”
If you want to stay in big resorts then there is not much to worry about. The difficulty presents it self when customers are interested in combining areas like Havana, Viales Valley, Las Terrazas, Cienfuegos, Trinidad and or Santiago de Cuba. cities like these with the exception of Havana are very difficult when it comes to hotel availabilities.
If what you want is to organise a tailor made Cuba holiday in a high season my guidance to you is to call at least 4 months prior to departure in order to secure not only the rooms in your preferred hotels but also the best fares from the airlines . If you regrettably did not find this article before and are planning a last minute tailor made holiday , the likelihood is something will be found for you but surely the odds of getting the best hotels are not bright
In the case of low season months is very easy to find availabilities and good deals in terms of price and it really does not matter much when you call. Even so we feel very confident to put together the kind of itinerary that will fulfil your holidays
I truly hope you find some good tips in this article and wish you the very best when visiting Cuba.

If you are looking for information on where to go and what to do in Cuba this might be a good place to start. This charming Caribbean Island certainly has everything you need for fantastic holidays to Cuba and there are options to please the most discerning traveler.
Cuba, being the largest of the Caribbean Island it is favourite over other Caribbean destinations. The fact is that there is so much to do and see that even 2 week holidays are not enough to get to know the Island.
Lets look at places like Varadero, Jibacoa, Guardalavaca, cayo Coco, Cayo Largo, Cayo Santa Maria and so many other beach destinations with white sandy beaches and turquoise color waters. To chose among all of them could be a difficult task. Some places like Varadero are better in terms of infrastructure and things you can do out side your hotel while the rest are more for the purpose of pure relaxation.
Pinar del Rio province has the most attractive landscapes in Cuba especially those of Vinales Valley where the best tobacco of the world is harvested every year. Soroa and last Terrazas also in Pinar del Rio are especially attractive among those interested in hiking, tracking and bird watching.
Trinidad de Cuba one of the most beautiful cities in Cuba was declared World Heritage Site in 1986 by UNESCO. Today Trinidad still looks the same it was 300 years ago. Trinidad also has the best beaches in the Caribbean side of Cuba so if you want to blend a bit of culture and relaxation then Trinidad is definitely the place to go.
Havana without a doubt should not be left out in your visit. This city represents the main interaction with the Cuban culture. Havana?s Old Town is one of its best assets. You can find life music almost in every corner and every square.
You can put together as many locations as it make sense depending on your on time and travel distances in between places. Of course the budget is determinant in deciding what to see. Cuba is a large island and sometimes you have to travel 6 hours on the road to go from A to B and that comes at a high price.
Cuba has accumulated in the last 4 centuries a wealth of history and character. Especially in the last 50 years after the triumph of Castro’s revolution in 1959. Some consider it all might change soon so my advice is to start planning your holidays sooner rather than later.
